“Revere the healing power of Nature “ Hippocrates
Self Healing powers
Like a treasure of untold wealth buried beneath a house, to benefit from a resource one must realize it is there and then discover how to access it. Otherwise, great endowments can sit unappreciated and unused, perhaps even when most needed.
The miraculous treasures of our own bodies are just like this.
Few of us are even aware that our bodies possess astoundingly intelligent, entirely self-healing and self-regulating powers.
Cut a piece of meat, inject it with antibiotics, stitch it up, use every drug, herb and nutritional supplement on the planet.. Nothing will happen.
Because an essential ingredient is missing.
Examine a body immediately after it has died. It will weigh the same as it did before death. It will possess all the same chemicals, hormones, organs, glands, tissues as it did before. Like a light bulb removed from its power source the body is missing something very subtle. It is missing the energy and intelligence that guides the continuous cascade of effortless internal events called life, health and healing, 24 hours a day 7 days a week for a lifetime.
There are about 3 trillion cells in a human body. Each cell performs around 20,000 chemical and metabolic processes per minute. If you take a moment to do the math, this is a mind-boggling amount of activity. Like musicians in a massive orchestra each cell must play its sheet music ( DNA code ) in harmony with all the other cells to make the beautiful music called health and life. Just as an orchestra needs a conductor to harmonize and direct its numerous instruments and musicians so too our bodies need an overseeing and directing intelligence to perform the miracles it does.
Unlike a conductor of an orchestra the directing intelligence of our body is everywhere at the same time and does not have to be localized anywhere in particular.
In Ayurveda, Yoga , Acupuncture and Chiropractic liberating and protecting this self-healing force is the focus of all activities , procedures and treatments. In Ayurveda and Yoga these precious inner treasures are called Prana, Agni and Ojas. In Acupuncture they are called Qi, Shen and Jing in Chiropractic they called the vital life force, innate intelligence and universal intelligence. The Naturopaths call it the healing power of nature. In the vitalistic biological sciences it has been called Entelechy.
This self regulating, intelligent, life causing energy is recognized and worked with in all the natural healing sciences. More importantly you own it. Every person can and ought to become aware of it within themselves and learn to protect and cultivate it. It is Dr. Gregg’s goal to help his practice members become more aware of their life energy.

Prana is most easily felt after a chiropractic adjustment, an acupuncture treatment, a yoga session or any of the self care practices. The resulting rush of sensations from the increased flow of Prana can be very difficult to miss.
Definite signs of increased Prana are a combined sensation of:
- Tingling
- Warmth
- Flow
- Lightness
- Relaxation
- Clarity
- Buoyancy
- Resiliency
A blockage of and a lack of Prana is characterized by these sensations
- Pain
- Stiffness
- Tension
- Low energy
- Diminished sensation
- Coldness
- Impaired circulation
- Fogginess
- Heaviness
- Rigidity

When a person’s Prana is obstructed they often feel stuck, stagnant, heavy or depressed. They are much more prone to negative thoughts, emotions, addictive behaviors and self-destructive habits
